Although there are hundreds of thousands of wikis available on the Internet, it's often a challenge finding the one on your topic of interest. Not all are easily found through search programs (e.g., Yahoo, Google) or other sites (e.g., Del.icio.us, Digg). There are some directories that have been created to promote wikis. Many of the directories are managed by the wiki hosting services. Some wiki services promote popular wikis on their sites, but don't have a complete directory. Most wiki hosting services have a search function that permits you to find wikis by topic or by content. Some wiki directories are actually wikis themselves, allowing wiki organizers to add a wiki to the directory.
